Prayer and Liturgy
Prayer and Liturgy is a central part of daily life at St. John Fisher Catholic Primary School, giving staff and children a chance to stop and reflect and take some time for their spiritual self. We believe that Prayer and Liturgy at our school is concerned with giving glory, honour, praise and thanks to God. It is our loving response, in word and action to God's invitation to enter into relationships, made possible through the work of Jesus Christ and the witness of the Holy Spirit - it is at the heart of everything that we do.
It is our loving response, in word and action, to God’s invitation to enter into a relationship with Him, made possible through the work of Jesus Christ and the witness of the Holy Spirit. In line with both our legal requirement and faith commitments, prayer and worship take place daily.
Prayer and Liturgy takes place different forms, a single act of worship for all children, or separate acts of worship for individual classes or key stages. As a school we celebrate a variety of liturgies including Advent, Ash Wednesday, Stations of the Cross, the Rosary, Crowning and Blessing of Mary.
